- The admins and moderators will take notice of rule violaters. If a member breaks a small rule they will be sent a reminder of what the rule is. If a member persists in breaking rules, that member will be banned without notification. These rules are very simple to understand; you should have no trouble in following them if you are a mature person. If you are not a mature person, well then you don't really belong here.
- All offensive languages or topics are forbidden on this message board. This includes posts of any graphic content regarding violence or sex. If your topic includes offensive external links or quotes, please mark your topic as potentially offensive.
- Use all forums wisely. Be very considerate when you post. This board is NOT an advertisement section on the newspaper. DO NOT use it for the sole purpose of advertising. As a matter of fact, your first 20 posts can not contain advertisement of any sort. This including asking for a host or hostee!
- Post only meaningful replies and topics. Do not treat this board as your personal chatroom. For example, do not talk to yourself and play games in the game forum with yourself for more than three posts! Nor should you post for the mere purpose to pump up your post number. Posts like "LOL", "I agree", "HAHA", "Sorry", "Yeah", "That's too bad" etc. can be very annoying if you repeatedly post them. And please read this too!
- Do not post twice in a row. If you need to add something to your previous post, please use the "edit" function to edit your previous post instead of adding a new post.
- Be kind to all other members and respect their feelings. Friendship comes in first on this board (so don't come here to just for web page help without wanting to make friends!). DMB is a community where everyone's feeling is equally important. If the way you act on the board hurt/offend others, you need to either change or leave. Please remember that no one's perfect and try to lend a helping hand when you can. BE CONSIDERATE OF OTHERS' FEELINGS when you post. DMB is known for its friendliness and if we feel your presence threatens this DMB quality, we will ask you to leave.
- If you have a conflict with another member of the board, attempt to resolve it outside of this board. Do not attempt to defame the person by talking behind his/her back. A private message or an e-mail is preferred to a public confrontation on the board. If you continue to have problems, address your situation to an administrator, who will try their best to resolve the matter.
- Unless you have something constructive or useful to add, please do not reply to a thread that was last updated more than 10 days ago.
- NO signing up of more than one username is allowed! If you are caught for having more than one usernames, you will be warned. You will then have to choose between the two usernames and start from the begining with 0 post number and 0 buck. If you REALLY want to change your current username, delete your current account and register a new one.
- Do not post anything regarding illegal software downloads, cracks or topics in this area. Moderators will delete such topics without warning.
- Do not allow any other person to use your account to view or post on this board. This has happened before with some members allowing his/her banned friend to view or post at the boards via their accounts. If you are caught doing any dishonest deeds on the board such as the ones listed, you will be banned immediately!
- Please do not ask for donations or any other kind of money on the board. The board is for making friends not making money.
- Do not u2u someone and saying you'd like to be their friend because they can help you. It's ridiculous how many times this has been happened on this board. Are you using friendship as an excuse to use someone? If so, you'd never make true friends plus you get people very annoyed. So don't do it.
- We do not tolerate spam on DMB. Spam: Unsolicited "junk" u2u sent to a large number of people to promote products, services, gain personal favors etc.
- Once you are banned from this board, it's permanent. You will not be unbanned under any conditions. If you are a banned member and is found to register again under a different identity, you will be banned as soon as it is found out.
- If your friend is banned by the board, you may talk to one of the admins about the situation. Do not start topics to make the personal matters public or attempt to harrass anyone on the board about the matter. You will be banned if you spam the board with such issues. And remember the admins have the power to make the FINAL decision about who's leaving and who's not. If you are not happy with it, leave!
- DO NOT use different color or style of fonts unless you are trying to stress something in your post. The bold, italic and different colors for the font are attention getters. They are supposed to be used as highlighters. So use them properly. Do not make your entire post bold, italic or colorful.
- Help and Graphics forums: Before you post in the help or graphics forum, make sure you search the forum for any similar topics that have already been posted.
- Many forums have their own rules and policies. Please read all of the topped/announcement topics before start posting in them.
