Woo! Hi there, and sorry for my "off" greeting. Well, I'm fairly new to dmb, and just in time too, because now there's this yearbook project. Pretty cool huh? Well, a little introduction. I'm Dre, from the Philippines. I love to write, or at least, I love the notion of writing all day long in pensive mood and dreaming of distant lands. I want to satisfy my escapist desires and run away in the middle of the night to France where I can spend my days writing of paintings I cannot have and cafes warm and clean and friendly. I like iced coffee, and native hot chocolate. and I'm right now a senior high schooler. I can play the violin and a little bit of guitar. I have too many sites. How did you find dmb?
Well, I am a member of nova and I saw a thread about other message boards. Decided to get myself out there for now reason, stop being stuck in internet solitude and meet a bunch of peeps. Plus I was looking for a host. ;)
what made you decide to join dmb?
to be brutally honest, I was looking for a host and I went on a board registration frenzy. I did eventually find a host, through DMB, and I went inactive for a while (as you'd expect of the flake that I am), but hey, I didn't want to be such a flake. So I occasionally went to visit the boards I signed up in, and the others either did not have a writer's corner, or were inactive, or were just ... well. dmb is wonderfully active, and they had a whole forum for members to share their writings, so here I am! Alive and well and great. :D
Friends made on dmb
Well, clemchwder was the first person who befriended me on dmb, and for that I'm grateful. thank you very much, clem. Also, Dawnfire was the first person to give me anonymous bucks! I found her out, but thanks still! I haven't gotten close to many of the board members yet. I'm not the of the friendly, extroverted sort. But dmb is helping me open up. Really great.
best dmb memory
whenever I recieve anonymous dmb bucks. It's not because I'm buck-greedy, but it's always nice to see someone's thinking of you, and it's so sweet how they leave thoughtful messages. I really like that.

whenever I have the chance. screw my advanced chemistry test tomorrow. screw project deadlines.

dmb is full of talented pixelers. Really. I even won a couple of auctions and got sweet deals for the most adorable avatars. The others I paid a hefty price for, but it's all worth it.
