Jessi, In Short My name is Jessi, if you hadn't caught that yet. I'm nearly 17 years old and I live in the United States. My hobbies include photography, hiking, reading, and webdesign. I love animals and I have a cocker spaniel named Zoe who is the most precious thing in the entire world to me. I tend to take lots of photos of her because of this, haha. Anyways, I'm getting off the main subject. Go read about my connections to DMB. [ ] How and Why I Joined DMB How did I find DMB? It was about two and a half years ago and I was browsing someone's site when I got linked over to the board. I remember trying to navigate the board and I was having a tough time, haha. I'd never been to a message board before then so it was all new to me. I didn't exactly understand how it was organized at first, but I joined anyways and soon figured it out. Why did I join? Well, again, it was a new thing and I wanted to see what it was like to be apart of a message board. I soon found out that it was a very fun place to hang around while I was online. [ ] A Faithful Member Since... I think I joined in February of 2001, but I'm not exactly sure. It might have been April of that same year. I think it was an Ikonboard back when I joined, so I guess that could give you clue. I haven't been here as long as some people, but I've definitely been here for a while. [ ] My Best DMB Memory Oh goodness... who knows? There have been so many fun things about the board. I guess one thing that sticks out was the first Secret Santa. It was so fun making presents for someone and then seeing them post, "I got the sweetest gift from my Secret Santa today!" It made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, hehe. [ ] How DMB Changed My Life Well, I've definitely become more open-minded, articulate, patient... the list goes on. I've learned a little about different cultures and I've met people from all around the world, which is so exciting to me. Where else would I have found out about anime? [ ] In Two Years Time Will I still be posting in two years? I hope so! I love the message board this *stretches out arms* much! Who knows though... college might bog me down, but I'm sure I'll still find time to post and be apart of the activities. [ ] Strong Bonds & Friendships made through DMB There are too many to list. I've met most of my online buds through Dodo's Message Board. I met the wonderful chickadee, Louise, (who hosts my journal site and has become a great friend) at DMB. There are so many, I just can't list them all! [ ] Keepsakes These are just images that are related to the board with little explanations about each. This was my first avatar I ever had for the board. It's a picture of an orchid with my name and a decorative border on it. I used it for a LONG time and just barely changed it a few weeks ago to the one below. I really like it and I bet I'll use it again later because it's a favorite of mine. This is my current avatar that I use for the board. Yet again I used a flower for my avatar - can you tell I like flowers? This flower is a fruit blossom of some sort - cherry perhaps - and again, I put a decorative border on it and also put my name on it. Yep, I'm so original when it comes to my avatars, haha. Here is the theme I use on DMB. Ever since the 'third generation' began, I've been using this beautiful theme called 'cityscape' that Gardenia a.k.a. Wendi made. I've tried to use others, but nothing compare to the great colors and the clean and edgy look of this theme. *Hugs the theme* Yep, I love this theme. So so so beautiful in my opinion. I doubt I will ever change to another one unless this one gets deleted (which would be horrible, and I would definitely protest the deletion of this creation). Anyways, yep, that's the theme I use. When Dodo started the DMB store (where you can buy little pixels to be placed by your username and username decorations), I was in a pixel-making mood. So, I decided to try to make something to submit for the store. These little girl faces are what I came up with. I don't think many people use them, but oh well, I still like them! I made this fansign a LONG time ago. It's just the simple and commonly used, "Dodo's MB Rocks!" because, well, DMB does rock. Hrm... I think I should make a better looking once my scanner is working again. [ ]
