n Hello there. My name is Amy-Hope, but my friends just call
me Amy. I am 17 years old, and I am now in my senior year of high school.
I am Filipina, but I was born in the United States. I am currently
residing in Illinois.

B I believe I stumbled across DMB when I was checking out
Dodo's domain, Regretless.com. I joined Dodo's Message Board because the
community seemed very friendly, and there seemed to be many people with
similar interests as me. A lot of my friends aren't really into
video games, webdesign, and other hobbies that many of the people at DMB
enjoy doing. It's great to talk with people who share common interests.
I've been a member since July 21st, 2002. I believe I registered
before this date, but I think DMB was gone for a bit, and then completely
restarted itself. Of course, I eagerly waited for its return and gladly
reregistered!
DMB has allowed me to meet different types of people.
I've realized that liking the same things as someone doesn't mean you are
the same person. This is definitely not a bad thing! Variety is
spectacular!
One great thing about DMB is that it's an awesome
resource center. You can find help for all sorts of things on the web
without busting your butt doing a search at a search engine. Plus, there's
so many talented people at DMB, that you know most of the help will be
pretty effective.
DMB is so much different from other message
boards. Many message board owners aren't very willing to give too much to
the users. That's very unlike DMB because the administrator of this board
is unbelievable! Before Dodo does anything with the board, she makes sure
she has the input of the users. Other webowners would do whatever is
easiest for them, whatever benefits them. Not Dodo! She really tries to
keep the users happy. She's always making new things and starting new
events for the users! Dodo lets us make themes, make pixels, suggest
resources, all sorts of things, even when getting a lot of people involved
could make things a lot more complicated. DMB is great because Dodo is
great :)
If DMB closed today, of course I'd be sad! I like to go to
the boards whenever I'm online, to see how my DMB bucks are doing, to see
if anyone responded to my threads, to play GAMES!! Going online would
never be the same :P But if they did close, I know that the boards would
long be remembered! The new boards would want to be like DMB - to
accomplish what DMB accomplish - that would be their goal! That's it for
me, folks. Dmb rocks! © 2003 AHE
