♥ About Me ♥

Why hello thar! I am Sariss. My real name is Robyn Smith, and I'm a 17 year old from a little town in Ontario Canada called Collingwood. If you haven't figured it out already, I am a girl.
I live at home with both my parents, and my older brother, who is 19. I have another brother who is 29, but of course he doesn't live at home, and he works a lot so I don't see him.
I'm an atheist, but unlike some, I do respect other people's religions. My entire family is Christian so I've always had to deal with it anyways.
I love helping people. When I am done Highschool in January of 2004, I am going to College for my Animal Care certificate, my Personal Support Worker Certificate, and my Early Childhood Education Diploma. In the long run, I wish to work at a daycare facility, or perhaps a school.
I love my animals. We have a lot of pets at our house, two cats, two dogs, and a lot of birds. One of the cats (Toby) is mine. We saved his life since he had been dropped off by someone and was starving to death. He is my baby.
Daisy is my dog. She is a 2 year old Australian Shepherd who I am teaching to be a Disc Dog. One day I hope to compete with her!
Among other things I love are my boyfriend of 1 year, and photography. When I was a kid I would take the camera and take random pictures. Now that I am older I have a digital camera in which I use a *lot* to take pictures.

♥ Me and DMB ♥

How did you find DMB? I found DMB through Pouick, who had mentioned it on another forum. It sparked my interest and made me want to come check it out.
Why did you join? I joined because it seemed like such a perfect community. I used to be bothered by people who couldn't keep on topic for the life of them, and who constantly posted things that were pretty pointless and not very relevant. I was so amazed that a community like this existed, separating itself from a world of bad grammar and pointlessness. I could not resist joining.
How long have you been here? It's only been a month or so since I joined, so I am pretty much a newbie here. I have enjoyed every second I have spent surfing these boards and although I have been pretty quiet and I haven't made many friends, it is all worth it.
What if we closed it?! Well, I haven't been here long, but I would be upset if DMB got closed. Knowing me, I would try to make a forum just like it, and probably fail horribly.
In 2 years... In 2 years time, yes I probably will be still posting here, granted it is still around. I don't usually leave communities, unless something happens that makes me want to not post here anymore. But, the way the atmosphere is in this place, I don't think I will have any problems. I hope to be posting (or at least browsing) here for many years to come! One day you will see a picture of a feeble old lady sitting on a computer browsing a forum, and it will probably be this one.
How are we different? DMB is really different from other forums. On other forums, you see pointless threads that consist of only one or two words, or smilies. They usually have many users who type like they never took an English class in their life. Many forums I have visited are full of racism, hypocrisy, and other things I really don't enjoy. DMB seems to be one of the only forums left that is well... intelligent.
How often do you visit DMB? I usually lurk around here once or twice a day. It's part of my daily Internet routine. Sometimes though when work is really overloading me and I'm just really busy, I can't make it on.
Why are you making this page? Well, I haven't been here that long and I haven't made many friends so I thought this may get people to get to know me a little better. I love the idea of yearbook pages but I have never actually had one of my own. Thank you DMB!
